BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) - Trey Freeman scored 20 points and Campbell held Coastal Carolina without a field goal in overtime in a 70-65 victory on Monday night.
The Camels (9-6, 3-0 Big South Conference) trailed 63-62 in overtime after a free throw by Coastal Carolina's Jon Pack. Campbell then scored six straight over the next 3:17.
The Chanticleers (10-4, 3-1) pulled within three, 68-65, with 50 seconds left and had a chance to tie it. But Anthony Raffa's 3-point attempt was blocked by Darren White with 9 seconds remaining.
Eric Griffin added 13 points and White and Lorne Merthie had 10 each for Campbell, which ended a five-game losing streak, after an 8-1 start.
The Camels forced a season-high 20 turnovers for Coastal Carolina, which lost three out of its last four.
Raffa led the Chanticleers with 18 points and Chris Gradnigo added 16 off the bench.
