GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Adjehi Baru and Anthony Stitt each scored 14 points and College of Charleston defeated Furman for the ninth straight time 66-43 on Saturday.
Leading 38-34 midway through the second half, the Cougars put the game out of reach with a 23-5 run and led 61-39 after a layup by Antwaine Wiggins with 4:07 remaining. Wiggins added 10 points for the Cougars.
College of Charleston (11-4, 2-1 Southern Conference) has won 28 of the past 31 games in the series.
The Cougars shot higher than 50 percent for the fourth time in the past seven games, making 51.1 percent (27 of 47) from the field.
Furman committed 23 turnovers and was held to 29,6 percent (19 of 54) shooting from the field, including making only 4 of 22 3-pointers.
Charlie Reddick scored 11 points to lead Furman (7-8, 1-3), which was held to its lowest point total of the season.
