TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - David Kyles and Toure Murry scored 16 points apiece and Wichita State defeated Indiana State 75-65 on Sunday night.
Ben Smith scored 10 points and Garrett Stutz had eight points and 11 rebounds for the Shockers (15-3. 6-1), who kept pace with No. 23 Creighton for the lead in the Missouri Valley Conference. Wichita State is 5-0 on the road this season.
Dwayne Lathan scored 17 points to lead Indiana State. Carl Richard had 13 points and eight rebounds and Myles Walker had 14 rebounds for the Sycamores (11-7, 2-5), who with a 38-35 edge on the boards were the first team to outrebound Wichita State this season.
