PEORIA, Ill. (AP) - Tyshon Pickett had 23 points and eight rebounds and Will Egolf and Dyricus Simms-Edwards added 11 each as Bradley defeated Eastern Illinois 76-53 on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.
Pickett, a junior-college transfer making his debut for the Braves, shot 9 of 12 from the floor.
Morris Woods scored 14 points and Alex Austin 13 for the Panthers.
Egolf, a sixth-year senior who missed all of 2011-12 with a knee injury, added three rebounds and two steals in 22 minutes.
Bradley shot 57.7 percent (15 of 26) in the first half en route to a 38-22 lead at intermission. A 20-3 run gave the Braves control.
