TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - Jake Odom and Justin Gant scored in double figures as Indiana State beat Winthrop 66-55 on Tuesday night.
Odom scored 15 points and Gant scored 14. Dawon Cummings had 11 points, including two 3-pointers, and RJ Mahurin added 10. Cummings, Manny Arop and Rhett Smith all had five rebounds.
The Sycamores led 36-30 at halftime.
Derrick Henry scored 15 points for Winthrop (1-1). Andre Smith added 11 points. Larry Brown had 15 rebounds for the Eagles.
The Sycamores (1-1) are 3-0 in home openers under head coach Greg Lansing.
