BALTIMORE (AP) - Robert Olson scored 22 points Saturday night to lead Loyola (Md.) to a 79-57 victory over Mount St. Mary's.
The 168th meeting between the two teams was over early. Olson scored 14 of his game-high 22 in the first half as the Greyhounds raced to a 40-18 halftime lead. Loyola (9-3) shot 61.9 percent from the floor in the first half, hitting 13 of 21 shots.
Meanwhile, the Mountaineers (4-4) were just 7 for 29 from the field before the break (24.1 percent). They missed nine of their first 10 3-point attempts.
Olson shot 9 for 14 from the floor, hitting 3 of 6 3-pointers. He got help from Erik Etherly (16 points), Dylon Cormier (14) and Julius Brooks (12).
Kristijan Krajina led Mount St. Mary's with 14 points.
Loyola finished 27 of 55 from the field (55.1 percent). The Mountaineers were just 22 of 65 (33.8 percent).
