DAYTON, Ohio (AP) AJ Pacher scored 21 points and JT Yoho added 17 as Wright State dominated Mount St. Joseph in the season opener for both teams Sunday.
The Raiders, coming off a record-setting 23-win season, didn't waste any time as they started the game on a 12-3 run. Yoho and Pacher combined for 9 of those first 12 points.
Pacher scored all of his points in the first half, propelling Wright State to a 43-24 lead at the break. Wright State shot a blistering 56 percent from the field for the game.
Jerran Young also added 10 points to go with his game-high 10 rebounds for the Raiders.
David Mann led Mount St. Joseph, a Division III program, with 13 points. The score could have been a lot worse, but the Lions connected on 10 of 23 3-point attempts.
