Cleveland State (4-3), who narrowly lost to Kentucky on Monday, finished the night shooting 63 percent and continued hitting the higher percentage short jumpers and inside the paint shots. The Cardinals (3-3) got no closer than four points at the beginning of the second half before Cleveland State ran away with it increasing the lead to 23 at the buzzer.

Chris Bond netted 17 points and Majok Majok matched his rebound average of 11 in the game for the Cardinals.
