WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) Codi Miller-McIntyre scored nine of his 26 points in overtime as Wake Forest rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second half to beat Richmond 76-66 on Saturday.

Tyler Cavanaugh added 15 points for the Demon Deacons (8-2), including a pair of free throws early in overtime that put Wake Forest ahead to stay.

Devin Thomas had 11 points and a career-high 19 rebounds, and Travis McKie 10 points for the Demon Deacons, who have won two straight.

Cedrick Lindsay scored 18 points and Kendall Anthony 14 for the Spiders (7-3), who led by as many as 12 points midway through the second half and forced Wake Forest into 21 turnovers.

However, the Demon Deacons fought back, with Miller-McIntyre tying the score at 61 with two free throws with 7.4 seconds left in regulation.

Wake Forest, which had a 53-24 rebounding advantage, then held Richmond to just one field goal in overtime.

The Spiders, who had won three straight over the Demon Deacons, twice pulled ahead by double digits in the second half after battling to a 32-31 halftime lead.

Richmond opened the half by scoring nine unanswered points, with Terry Allen's layup with 14:05 left giving the Spiders a 41-31 lead. But Wake Forest went on its own run, with William Arnaud Adala Moto's layup with 12:50 left pulling the Demon Deacons within two points.

Richmond went on one final run, outscoring Wake Forest 13-2 over the next three-and-a-half minutes, with back-to-back 3-pointers by Anthony giving the Spiders a 53-41 lead with 8:10 remaining, their biggest of the game.

However, Miller-McIntyre scored eight points, including the game-tying free throws, over the final seven minutes as the Demon Deacons outscored Richmond 20-8 to force the extra period.

After Cavanaugh put Wake Forest ahead in OT, Miller-McIntyre and Coron Williams followed with 3-pointers, and Miller-McIntyre hit 3 of 4 from the line to push the Demon Deacons' lead to 72-62 with 2:01 left.

Richmond pulled no closer than seven points the rest of the way, managing just a Deion Taylor tip in and free throws from Anthony and Alonzo Nelson-Ododa over the final two minutes.

That was a turnaround from the first half, when the Spiders gave Wake Forest all it could handle. Richmond forced 11 turnovers (eight off steals) for a 15-5 advantage in points off turnovers.

That led to a first half that saw six lead changes and three ties, with neither team pulling ahead by very much or for very long.

The Spiders took their biggest lead, 17-13, on Trey Davis' fast-break layup with 12:16 left. But the Demon Deacons went on to score the next seven points, with Madison Jones' free throw with 9:43 remaining giving Wake Forest a 20-17 lead, its biggest of the half.

The lead swapped hands three times in the final minutes, with Richmond going up 29-26 on Anthony's 3-pointer with 2:15 left.

The Demon Deacons would go back on top at 31-30 less than a minute later on McKie's 3, but Lindsay hit a fadeaway jumper with four seconds remaining to put the Spiders ahead 32-31 at the break.
