SAN ANTONIO (AP) Issiah Grayson scored 31 points, hitting 6 of 7 from beyond the arc, to lead Cal State-Bakersfield over Texas-San Antonio 90-64 on Wednesday.
Tyrell Corbin added 15 for Bakersfield (6-6), while Aly Ahmed chipped in with 14 points.
UTSA (3-7) was led by Keon Lewis with 17 points and Jordan Sims added 16.
Paced by Grayson, Bakersfield hit on 63 percent of its 3-point attempts (12 of 19) and shot 58 percent from the floor overall while making all 20 of its free throws.
The teams played a tight first half; the largest lead by either team was seven points with 43 seconds left in the half after Corbin drilled a trey. A pair of free throws by Lewis on the next possession trimmed the cushion for Bakersfield to five at the intermission.
Bakersfield opened the second half with a 16-6 run and never looked back.
