TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) Jermaine Marshall scored 20 of his 27 points in the second half, Jahii Carson had 16 points and 13 assists, and Arizona State rolled to a 76-62 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday night.

Coming off a six-day break, Arizona State (10-2) had trouble getting shots to fall early. The Sun Devils started to find the range late in the first half during a closing 11-0 run and kept the cushion in the second, improving to 7-0 at home this season.

Marshall hit seven of Arizona State's 10 3-pointers and Carson added seven rebounds while finishing with the most assists by an ASU player in 16 years.

Texas Tech (7-5) couldn't overcome Arizona State's first-half run due to poor shooting. The Red Raiders shot 36 percent and made 1 of 13 from 3-point range for their third loss in four games.

Jordan Tolbert led Texas Tech with 25 points and 12 rebounds, and Dejan Kravic added 12 points.

Texas Tech has gotten off to a solid start in its first season under Tubby Smith, though has struggled against the tougher opponents on its schedule.

The Red Raiders have had easy wins over teams like Houston Baptist, Northern Arizona and Central Arkansas, but lost to Alabama and were blown out by Pittsburgh and Arizona.

Texas Tech rallied from an 11-point deficit to catch LSU in its last game, but couldn't finish it off in a 71-69 home loss.

The Red Raiders looked good early against Arizona State, shooting well early and dominating the Sun Devils on the glass for most of the first half.

Arizona State kept it close by keeping the ball close, finishing with no turnovers in the first half.

The Sun Devils rolled over Grambling State in their previous game by closing the first half with an 18-0 run. They put together another big run against the Red Raiders.

Finally getting a few shots to fall, Arizona State scored the final 11 points for a 34-25 halftime lead. Carson had 10 points, five assists and four rebounds at the half.

Texas Tech struggled down the stretch of the opening half, unable to contain Carson while their shots started clanging away. Texas Tech hit 9 of 30 shots in the first half, missing all seven of its 3-point attempts.

The Sun Devils tried to run away with it like they did against Grambling State, pushing the lead to 13 on a pair of 3-pointers by Marshall.

Texas Tech appeared ready to give in, too, clanking more shots and botching a 4-on-1 break early in the second half.

The Red Raiders managed to fight back, but Marshall kept them from getting any closer.

Marshall scored on an inbounds play under the basket and hit a long 3-pointer from straightaway, giving him 14 points in the opening 7 minutes of the second half. He added his seventh 3-pointer with just over 6 minutes left to give Arizona State and a 15-point lead that was barely threatened.
