RICHMOND, Va. (AP) Nick Kellogg made a 3-pointer with 7.8 seconds left in overtime, lifting Ohio to a 70-69 victory against Richmond on Sunday.

Maurice Ndour led the Bobcats (8-3) with 19 points, and Kellogg and Ricardo Johnson each had 14. Ohio stayed in it as Richmond went scoreless for 9 1/2 minutes and missed 8 of 12 free throws after halftime.

Cedrick Lindsay led Richmond (8-4) with 23 points, including their last six in the extra session, but Kellogg's jumper from the right wing swished through, the Bobcats' only 3-pointer after halftime.

Kendall Anthony's jumper with 23 seconds left forced the overtime, and Lindsay put the Spiders ahead 69-67 on an 18-footer with 32 seconds to play in the extra period. The Bobcats called timeout twice, the latter with 13 seconds to go, and set up the finish.

Anthony added 17 points for the Spiders.

Richmond scored the first six points of the second half, building its lead to 48-38 with 18:10 remaining, but then went cold and sloppy as the Bobcats put together a 12-0 run to lead 50-48. The Spiders missed seven shots in the drought, all six of their free throws and turned the ball over six times.

Back-to-back baskets by Lindsay ended the slide, giving Richmond the lead back with 7:51 to play. The lead changed hands three more times, with the Bobcats going ahead 58-57 on Johnson's putback with 2:40 to play. They led the rest of the way until Johnson blocked Lindsay's shot in the final minute, the rejection flying right into Anthony's hands, and he took two dribbles and tied it with a 15-footer.

The game was the back end of a home-and-home series that started last season with the Bobcats rolling to a 73-48 victory in Athens, Ohio, but Ohio has had only one road win against a non-conference opponent since December 2011. That came earlier this season, on Nov. 20, when they won 76-59 at Morgan State.

Both teams shot well in the first half, which ended with the Spiders leading 42-38.

Richmond went ahead with a 14-2 burst as Alonzo Nelson-Adoda scored six points and Kendall Anthony hit the first of his three 3-pointers in the half. The burst put the Spiders ahead 24-14, and Ohio, which had five players share their scoring honors with seven each, got as close as three several times.
