PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) Gary Winston's 3-pointer with four seconds left in the third overtime lifted Portland State to an 81-78 win over Montana Saturday night.
Keron DeShields hit the second of two free throws with 16 seconds left in regulation for Montana (6-7, 1-3 Big Sky) to force overtime. Brandon Cataldo's tip-in with :47 left in the first overtime for Portland State (6-7, 1-3) forced the second extra period. Montana's Eric Hutchison's three-point play in the final minute forced the third overtime.
Winston scored all nine Portland State points in the final overtime period, including a pair of 3-pointers, and finished with 21 points off the Vikings' bench while dishing off five assists. Marcus Hall also scored 21 points and Tim Douglas added another 18 for the Vikings.
Jordan Gregory scored 25 points to lead the Grizzlies. Kareem Jamar and DeShields added 19 and 17 points, respectively.
