BOISE, Idaho (AP) Larry Nance Jr. hit a baseline jump shot with 1.6 seconds left, and Wyoming rallied from a nine-point deficit to stun Boise State 52-50 Saturday night.
Nance finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds to help Wyoming (10-6, 1-2 Mountain West) win its first game on the road. Nance also blocked three shots, made two steals and had two assists in logging 39 minutes.
The Cowboys trailed 46-39 with 8:52 to play, but allowed only one field goal the rest of the way to send Boise State (11-5, 1-2) to its second consecutive defeat. The Broncos managed just four field goals in the final 18 minutes.
Anthony Drmic led all scorers with 20 points. The Boise State junior scored 13 of his team's first 15 points as the Broncos led by as many as seven in the first half.
Wyoming ended the first half on a 15-6 run to lead 25-23. The Cowboys never led by more than two points at any point in the game.
Boise State's Ryan Watkins scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half. His 3-point play at 19:54 gave Boise State a lead, and the Broncos never trailed again until Nance's game-winning shot.
Jerron Granberry and Nathan Sobey scored 11 points for Wyoming, which held the Broncos to just 32 percent shooting for the game. Josh Adams scored 10 points for the Cowboys to help offset the team's 17 turnovers. Wyoming shot 46 percent from the field and won despite managing only one offensive rebound and being outrebounded by a 33-26 margin.
Boise State fell to 0-18 in games where it didn't score 60 or more points under fourth-year coach Leon Rice. Just five players scored as the Broncos lost at home for just the second time this season.
