TCU vs Texas Tech

Texas Tech defeats TCU 60-54

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) Dejan Kravic scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Texas Tech to a 60-54 win against TCU on Saturday.

Jaye Crockett tacked on 15 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Red Raiders and Dusty Hannahs scored 11 points.

TCU led most of the game, in large part to Kyan Anderson's 22 points and five rebounds, before the Red Raiders pulled away late in the second half. Amric Fields added seven rebounds for the Horned Frogs.

A Kravic layup with 7:43 regained the lead for the Red Raiders. The Horned Frogs fought back, tying it twice, but couldn't get over the hump as Hannahs, Crockett and Kravic defended their home court.

Texas Tech (11-11, 3-6 Big 12) swept TCU (9-11, 0-8), as it did last season. With the win, Texas Tech has already matched its Big 12 victory total from last season, with nine conference games remaining.

TCU scored first and hung on to a narrow lead for the first 6 1/2 minutes of the game until Hannahs hit a 3-pointer with 13:22 to go in the first half to give Texas Tech its first lead.

Brandon Parrish responded with a 3-pointer for the Horned Frogs and they rode another narrow lead until Hannahs regained it 19-18 on a layup with 6:36 left in the half.

Price Hudson responded to give the lead back to TCU, which was up 28-27 at halftime.

TCU came out of the half strong and built the lead to as many as eight on an Anderson free throw with 15:28 left in the game. From that point, Kravic led the charge back for the Red Raiders and Robert Turner made 1 of 2 free throws to tie it at 40.

Anderson captured the lead again for TCU on the next possession and kept it until Toddrick Gotcher scored to put Texas Tech ahead with 10:49 to go.

At that point the Red Raiders began to pull away. TCU tied it twice in the final 8:07 but couldn't regain the lead as Texas Tech built its advantage to nine points on a Kravic free throw with 15 seconds to go.

Christian Gore hit a 3-pointer for TCU with 7 seconds to go for the final score.
