HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) Dakarai Henderson scored 13 points, making all three 3-point attempts, to lead Sam Houston State to an 84-70 victory over Lamar Saturday.

Sam Houston has won eight of its last nine games and remains alone in second place in Southland Conference play behind Stephen F. Austin. Sam Houston will host SFA Saturday. SFA won the first meeting 73-56.

Terrance Motley had 11 points and 12 rebounds for Sam Houston (17-6, 9-2). Michael Holyfield added 11 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
