DOVER, Del. (AP) Tyshawn Bell scored 21 points and Delaware State got off to a fast start, rolling past Savannah State 79-59 Monday night.

Delaware has now won two straight Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference games under interim head coach Keith Walker, who was named to the job after long-time coach Greg Jackson was fired January 30 after 14 seasons and 200 career wins with the Hornets. Delaware State beat South Carolina State Saturday.

The Hornets (6-17, 2-8) roared to a 13-point lead at intermission, 40-27.
