NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) Justin Sears scored 17 points - including the final basket of overtime - as Yale rallied back from a double-digit halftime deficit to edge past Princeton 66-65 on Saturday night.
Overtime saw six lead changes and one tie. The Bulldogs, trailing by one, set up a full-court press and forced a Princeton turnover with 25 seconds remaining. Jesse Pritchard missed a 3-point attempt, but Sears grabbed the offensive rebound and his putback gave the Bulldogs the lead with 4.4 seconds remaining.
After trailing by 11 points at the break, Yale (13-9, 7-1 Ivy) managed to get ahead late in the second half. Princeton (14-7, 2-5) tied up the score after a three-point play by Will Barrett with 29 seconds left in regulation and Yale missed two attempts to send the game into overtime.
T.J. Bray finished with 20 points for the Tigers, including eight of their nine overtime points.
