LAS VEGAS (AP) Matt Morgan scored 21 points with five 3-pointers for Cornell and Southeast Missouri lost its seventh straight, 78-62, Friday at the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic.

Stone Gettings scored 16 points, Robert Hatter scored 13 and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Troy Whiteside added 11 for the Big Red (3-8), who outscored the Redhawks 22-8 in the paint and outrebounded them 41-29 in winning the consolation game of the ''Visitors' Finals.''

Hatter's three consecutive layups capped a 12-1 run and Cornell led 51-34 in the second half while the Redhawks went 0 of 14 from the field for the first 8:18. Morgan hit his fifth 3, Gettings added a layup, and Cornell led by 15 with 3:57 left and was never threatened.

Cornell opened with a 16-4 run, but the Redhawks closed to 25-18 after holding the Big Red scoreless for nearly five minutes. Cornell led 39-33 at halftime after holding the Redhawks to 39.3 percent shooting.

Jaylen Benton scored 16 points, Tahj Eddy 13 and Antonius Cleveland 12 for Southeast Missouri (4-10).
