MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) Victor Sanders sank five 3-pointers and scored 31 points to lead Idaho to an 81-67 win over Sacramento State on Saturday night.

Arkadiy Mkrtychyan added 15 points, Pat Ingram had 12 and Brayon Blake 11 for Idaho (12-10, 7-4 Big Sky), which shot 54 percent from the field to pick up its third-straight win. Sanders entered the game 15 points shy of 1,000 career points and reached the milestone in the first half with his third 3-pointer.

The Vandals took control late in the second half with a 12-3 run sparked by Sanders' 3-pointer to make it 79-63 with 1:15 left to play and hung on down the stretch.

In the first half, Idaho scored 20 of the game's first 26 points but missed their last seven shots before the break and Sacramento State (7-14, 4-6) tightened the gap to 39-33 at intermission.

Eric Stuteville's 24 points led four Sacramento State players in double figures.
