BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) Tim Kempton pumped in 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Lehigh grabbed a big first-half lead and made it hold up for an 87-69 win over Colgate Wednesday night.

With Army knocking off Boston University Wednesday, Lehigh now is in a tie for second place with the Terriers in the Patriot League. Boston U swept the season series with Lehigh, however. The Terriers play at Holy Cross Saturday while Lehigh plays host to Army.

Lehigh (17-11, 11-6) rolled to a 51-33 lead at intermission and the Mountain Hawks shot 33 of 62 from the field, including 12 of 27 from deep.

Kempton hit 7 of 11 shots from the field and was 8 of 11 from the line. Kyle Leufroy added 19 points.

Colgate (10-20, 8-9) shot 50 percent from the field (23 of 46) and hit half of its 18 shots from distance.

Jordan Robertson scored 20 points off the Raiders' bench.
