-- 6'10 Late second round - Undrafted Ben Gordon Willie Warren
  • Always a volume scorer, Paul gradually became more effective and dangerous as his career progressed in Champaign. During his senior season, he carried the Fighting Illini offense at times, including dropping 35 points on Gonzaga during Illinois' hot start. He did struggle somewhat down the stretch of the season, but he came up big at key points - scoring 21 in an upset of Illinois, and 25 in a win over Minnesota. Paul also had 43 during his junior season against Ohio State. -- Jeff Borzello
  • Paul's final two seasons at Illinois demonstrated his wide variety of offensive skills. As a junior, he showed off his ability to move without the ball and get open from behind the perimeter for jumpers. Taking on more responsibility as a senior, Paul became more of a player who could get his own shot off the dribble. He can score against most defenders, and has good speed. -- Jeff Borzello
  • During his four years at Illinois, Paul's 3-point shooting never truly improved - and considering he took nearly seven 3-pointers per game as a senior, it would have been nice if he shot better than 32.5 percent. He had a tendency to force shots, attempting a lot of contested shots, both behind the 3-point line, and off the dribble. Paul doesn't have consistent point guard ability, and he's not tall enough to be a two. -- Jeff Borzello
