With the Eagles down five at the seven-minute mark, PG Junior Cadougan whispered into coach Buzz Williams' ear and said, “Put Davante in.” Cadougan later said, “I looked up at the score. I looked up at Davante, and I said, “You ready?” Williams listened to Cadougan, and F Davante Gardner, who played only 12 minutes Saturday, scored six consecutive points for Marquette and gave the Eagles a 51-48 lead.
