Sterling Gibbs, a reserve PG as a freshman last season, has elected to transfer, according to a report Tuesday by the Austin American-Statesman that references a team spokesman. Gibbs has not selected a new school, the spokesman said. Gibbs averaged just 7.5 mpg, last among nine scholarship players on the team, and 2.6 ppg in his only season in Austin. Gibbs likely would have been the third-string PG next season behind sophomore Myck Kabongo and incoming freshman Javan Felix.
