When Indiana hired Towson assistant coach Kenny Johnson in late April, one had to assume the pipeline from the DMV to Tom Crean's program would get going at some point. After all, Johnson is a former coach with the Team Takeover AAU program and Paul VI High School (Va.).

This quickly, though?

On Wednesday night, four-star junior guard Stan Robinson announced his pledge to Indiana.

“What everyone has been waiting for. Today I made my decision. I have committed to Indiana!,” Robinson tweeted.

He confirmed the news to CBSSports.com via text message.

Robinson is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Paul VI (Va.) who plays with Takeover on the AAU circuit. He is ranked No. 54 in the CBSSports.com Top 100.

He is a very good playmaker who can create shots for himself, but is also comfortable dishing off to his teammates on the offensive end. Robinson has a strong body and is an effective finisher in the lane, while also possessing the ability to step outside and knock down jumpers.

He should be a very good scorer for Johnson, Crean and the Hoosiers.

"Me and coach Johnson could be brothers," Robinson told Scout.com about the Indiana assistant. "He was the one that recruited me to Paul VI in 8th grade. Ever since then we have been close. I just trust him 100 percent."

Robinson chose the Hoosiers over Texas, Rutgers, Maryland and Villanova. Marquette, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech, Miami (Fl.), South Florida and Xavier had also offered him. Robinson joins Devin Davis, Luke Fischer and Collin Hartman in a very solid 2013 recruiting class for Indiana.
