MILWAUKEE -- Marquette guard Dominic James withdrew his name Sunday from the NBA Draft and will return for his junior year.

"I discussed it over with my family, and it's the best thing for me," James told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The First-Team All-Big East guard had until Monday afternoon to make his decision. He had been projected as a late second-round pick while some speculated he wouldn't have been drafted at all.

"I feel like another year of college, or maybe even two, will set me up for the future," said James, who averaged a team-high 14.9 points and 4.9 assists last season.

With James back, Marquette will return its top eight players from last year's 24-10 NCAA Tournament team.
