K-State's Walker injures knee in draft workout
Bill Walker might've pulled a Brandon Rush.
The Kansas State standout injured his knee at a workout at the Golden State Warriors facility this weekend. A source close to the situation told CBSSports.com that the injury will likely force Walker to miss any additional workouts leading up to the NBA Draft and it could ultimately be deemed more serious if the results of a scheduled MRI on Monday aren't favorable.
Walker was a projected lottery pick coming out of high school. But a torn ACL seven games into his first season at KSU damaged his stock, and he is now projected as a late first-round pick or early second-round pick after averaging 16.1 points per game this past season. The 6-foot-6 wing has until 5 p.m. ET on Monday to withdraw from the draft, if he chooses.
