Indiana-Kansas: Manning and the new Miracles vs. Knight's Hoosiers

The Indiana-Kansas matchup in the CBSSports.com National Champions All-Stars Bracket is interesting because these two schools won titles in the 1950s, meaning we have representatives who played before most reading this were even born. Admit it, you have no idea how Don Schlundt would handle Clyde Lovellette, and neither do I. But those jokers averaged 23.3 and 24.5 points per game in their college careers, and I really do wish there was a One Shining Moment video to celebrate the achievements.

Also good about this matchup? The hairstyles! Check out Bob Kenney's do. And Kent Benson's. And poor Milt Newton, his hair is slanted like a bike ramp.

But I'm getting sidetracked because what I really find intriguing -- even more than the hair -- is the Danny Manning-Scott May matchup, where this game will likely be decided.

Can IU slow Manning? Oklahoma sure couldn't in 1988.

But this Indiana roster is better than that Oklahoma roster considering an Isiah Thomas/Steve Alford backcourt is explosive. But do you think Bob Knight could figure out a way to prevent Mario Chalmers from getting off a shot at the buzzer if IU needed that to avoid overtime?

Either way, it's up to you.

Knight or Allen? Alford or Rush? May or Manning? Thomas or Chalmers?

Pick the winner and vote. Voting closes July 15 at 3 p.m. ET.

The results will be announced the following day.
