Former Sooner Tisdale doing well after leg amputation

NORMAN, Okla. -- Former Oklahoma basketball star Wayman Tisdale says he's doing well after surgery last month to amputate part of his right leg.

Tisdale appeared in a video message at halftime of the Sooners' football game against TCU on Saturday night, telling fans he's at peace following the operation.

Tisdale, a three-time All-American in the 1980s, is Oklahoma's all-time leading scorer. He went on to play 12 seasons in the NBA with the Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns.

He had surgery in August after cancer was discovered last year.
