BOULDER, Colo. (AP) -Bobby Howard scored 24 points, Will Bynum hit a jumper and free throw late in overtime, and Montana State held off Colorado for an 85-82 win Tuesday night.

Bynum's runner in the lane with 52.7 seconds remaining in the extra period broke a tie at 80, sending the Bobcats (1-1) to their sixth straight win over the Buffaloes (1-1).

Colorado hasn't beaten the Bobcats since 1924.

The Buffaloes (1-1) trailed by as many as 15 points in the second half, before rallying to tie it up late in regulation.

Howard had a chance to win the game in regulation on a three-point play with 1 second left, but bounced the free throw off the back of the rim.

He would hit a big 3-pointer midway through overtime.

Cory Higgins and Dwight Thorne each had 21 points for Colorado.
