Henderson signs with agent to officially end Duke career

DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke's Gerald Henderson signed with an agent and will remain in the NBA Draft.

The school said Tuesday the 6-foot-4 junior has signed with Arn Tellem, becoming the 10th player under coach Mike Krzyzewski to leave early for the NBA. Henderson entered his name in the draft shortly before last month's deadline for underclassmen to declare.

 Parrish: Early-entry analysis

Henderson was a third-team Associated Press All-American last season and led the Blue Devils with about 17 points per game. Duke reached the NCAA tournament's round of 16 and won the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament title.

Still, Duke will have four starters back from a 30-win team, including Kyle Singler and Jon Scheyer.

The NBA Draft is June 25.
