COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Two-time All-America Doug McDermott of Creighton has accepted an invitation to the U.S. basketball training camp for the World University Games.

McDermott is among the 29 players who will be at the camp, which runs from June 24-30. The team will be coached by Davidson's Bob McKillop.

Joining McDermott will be Quinn Cook of Duke and Stanford's Chasson Randle, who already have won two gold medals for the U.S. The pair played in the inaugural FIBA Americas U16 Championship in 2009 and then the U17 World Championship in 2010.

Other college stars vying to make the squad include Michigan State's Adreian Payne, North Carolina's P.J. Hairston and Cincinnati's Sean Kilpatrick.

The World University Games take place in Kazan, Russia, starting July 7. The U.S. finished fifth in 2011 and hasn't won gold since 2005.
