CHICAGO (AP) Craig Franklin scored 21 points to lead Chicago State to a 68-54 victory over Centenary late Saturday.
Rubeen Perry scored 14 points and had 11 rebounds for Chicago State (11-18, 9-6 Mid Continent Conference), and Jeleel Akindele added 12 points and eight rebounds to go along with five blocks. Andrew Wisniewski led Centenary (16-11, 10-6) with 19 points. Chad Maclies had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Michael Gale added 10 points.
Centenary managed to shoot just 35 percent from the field for the game. Chicago State on the other hand shot 51 percent from the field in the first half, upping it to 58 percent in the second half.
