AMHERST, N.Y. (AP) Mark Bortz had a career-high 32 points and added 13 rebounds to help lift Buffalo to a 95-92 double-overtime win over Niagara on Saturday night.
Bortz scored 24 points after the break and Buffalo won for the fifth time in its last six games.
Buffalo (5-2) forced the first overtime on Mario Jordan's free throw with 1.8 seconds left, and Niagara's David Brooks, who finished with 23 points, drained a 3-pointer with 49.6 seconds remaining to tie the score at 82 to end the first overtime.
Buffalo's 8-4 run in the second overtime iced the win, with Bortz scoring four points during the span.
Calvin Cage contributed 16 points, Turner Battle had 13 and Yassin Idbihi added 12 points for the Bulls, who won their third straight over the Purple Eagles.
Niagara (5-3) was led by Juan Mendez, who finished with 33 points and 13 rebounds. Alvin Cruz added 13 points.
The Purple Eagles took an 84-82 lead early in the second overtime, their first advantage since they led 35-34 with 1:31 left in the first-half.
