PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) Ben Culp and Martese Coleman each scored 14 points Monday night as Arkansas-Pine Bluff recovered from a four-point deficit at the half to get a 70-65 victory over Alcorn State.
UAPB (6-16, 4-9 Southwestern Athletic Conference) was down 42-38 at intermission after Alcorn (5-19, 4-9) hit 57 percent of its shots from the field in the first half.
But the Golden Lions allowed Alcorn to make only 33 percent of its field-goal attempts in the second half.
DeAndre Jones of Alcorn led all scorers with 25 points, and also grabbed seven rebounds. Almaad Jackson added 14 points for the visitors.
