Brown, Williams miss parts of UConn practice

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) Connecticut forward Denham Brown, who has a sore right hamstring, rode a stationary bicycle instead of practicing on Saturday for the Huskies second-round NCAA game against North Carolina State.

Also, UConn guard Marcus Williams missed about half of the practice because of a knee injury sustained in Friday's victory over Central Florida. Rashad Anderson just returned to the lineup last week after battling a life-threatening illness brought on by complications from a skin infection.

N.C. State, which beat Charlotte in the first round, will be without Tony Bethel, who has a groin injury.
