OSU has two on the who's who of what's wrong with Hoosiers
It's a bad day for Indiana basketball.
If you're a Hoosiers fan you're depressed, and you probably watched Tuesday night's game against Ohio State and wondered what could've been if not for Bob Knight's unbalanced temper.
Or Myles Brand's hiring decisions.
Or Mike Davis' recruiting practices.
Or ... geez, where did it all go wrong?
"There were some mistakes made," said a diplomatic Mike Conley Sr., and who better to talk with than him?

Now, not so much.
And though Kelvin Sampson has things headed back in the right direction -- and he'll get there, I'm sure -- the first-year Indiana coach's job would be easier if not for the recruiting mishaps of the previous regime of Davis. Now at UAB, Davis would've never been Indiana's coach if he hadn't been approved by former school president Brand, who wouldn't have had to approve anything if Knight hadn't been fired for grabbing a student named Kent Harvey by the arm on Sept. 8, 2000.
So blame Bob Knight.
Or Kent Harvey, the little tattletale.
Honestly, I'm not sure who to blame. But somebody has to be blamed. Indiana lost to a fellow Big Ten school led by a pair of Indianapolis products, and it must be frustrating on so many levels.
There are only five Indiana players on the Hoosiers roster, two of whom are walk-ons averaging less than two minutes per game. Meanwhile, you can scour the nation and piece together some kind of team with Indiana players.
