Vlad Moldoveanu is having an MVP-caliber season for the resurgent Eagles.

American has been the second-best team in the league for much of the season. A lot of the credit belongs to the Eagles' explosive frontcourt, led by Moldoveanu.

The 6-foot-9 senior had 23 points and seven rebounds to lead American in a loss to Holy Cross on Feb. 20.

Moldoveanu ranked second in the conference in scoring (19.0 points per game) and seventh in rebounds (6.1 per game) through Feb. 19.

With Moldoveanu coupled with burgeoning Stephen Lumpkins and a man defense that is best in the Patriot League, American is closing out the regular season a high note. The Eagles are a very dangerous team heading into the postseason.
