The Wildcats will open their season Sunday against NAU. I, for one, am totally stoked.
It seems like it has been forever since that ugly loss in the Sweet 16 to Louisville. It will be good to get an official win under our belts and literally start the new regime under Sean Miller.
I have put together a game

Before the real (i.e. college) season gets off and we ignore the NBA for a few months, I felt a post on Chase Budinger was in order. As a Houston based Wildcat, I now have a reason to watch the Rockets. Budinger is getting 20-25 minutes a game and raising eyebrows with his skills. Without the pressure of being 'the man', he has fit beautifully into the Rockets scheme and

Is like a chameleon. And not in a good way. I figure that eventually they'll become more structured and consistent but right now it's ugly out there. My guess is they're going to have a tough time against the Badgers next week. The perimeter defense looks good right now, but the interior defense is pretty vulnerable. Horne is just about the only guy doing it well down there.

Okay, so this isn't all inclusive of Monday, as I didn't even touch the Mauii Invitational yet. I will probably do a full preview of the Mauii instead of just a quick grab like the rest of this preview.
A lot of non-sense, fine tune your team games this weekend. But I'm really intrigued by the Oregon/Portland and Stanford/Virginia games.
What are you more interested in?

Rankings are only for games through Sunday 11/15. So UCLA's loss on Monday isn't accounted for. So even if UCLA has a huge win against CAL State-Bakersfield, they will likely take a drop in the polls because of their earlier l

I don't think I even made it down to one contest last year. It was nice getting back into McKale, though that "ARIZONA" beneath the block "A" seems kind of redundant and the missing cactus was disturbing. As for the team, let's just say we should all be very happy if it makes the tournament this year. Parrom was the biggest surprise for me. He's playing tough and

I wonder if Hosh still thinks Arizona was better off last year without this guy. Doesn't seem like a ball-hog to me.

Corey Williams is still feeling out the color analysis but it's pretty clear at this point that he's not repeating the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over again. Thank you Bob Elliot for not being on my television anymore.

College hoops starts in just two days. I can't believe how quickly it has come up. So without further adeiu, my first PAC-10 Power Rankings of the season.
I would like to do things a little bit differently this year, and make it a poll. So if you are interested in putting your

I won't do this too often, but I had too much time on my hands this morning, and it was the first game for each of these teams. So below are links for my recaps to Friday's action.

I haven't had an opportunity to track individuals picks yet, heck I haven't even looked at all the win/losses for the first two weeks. But I'll get there. LOL Been extra busy with the local CC athletics lately. But I'll get 'em in.

So the season starts in just a few weeks (HOORAY!), so I figured it would be a good time to start sign-ups for non-conference Pick 'Em.
If you are interested in doing the PAC-10 Pick 'Em for non-conference play, just reply to this thread. We will do a non-conference champ, a conference champ, and full-season as well. Additional sign-ups for conference play only will begin a few weeks be

What is your favorite food to eat while watching sports?
Personally, I perfer chowin' down on burgers & fries while watching a game... but this is something I won't ever do again...
