--A 37-32 halftime lead against IPFW did not hold up for Centenary in its Jan. 27 Summit League game. The Mastodons went on a 9-0 run to tie it at 41 with 14:29 to go in the second half, then claimed the lead and widened the gap to as many as 12 points with 18 seconds remaining.
--Centenary also held its own in the first half on Jan. 29 against Oakland, the Summit League's defending champion and this season's first-place team. The Gents were hanging around at 39-36 with less than 90 seconds to go before intermission, but Oakland scored five points in the final 30 seconds to take a 44-36 lead into the break and dominated the second half of a 100-70 triumph.
--Centenary entered February still last in the Summit in points allowed (80.7 per game), free-throw shooting (.622), field-goal percentage (.386), field-goal defense (.489 allowed), 3-point shooting (.275), rebounding margin (minus-8.3) and turnover margin (minus-3.61).
