Wildcats report: Getting inside
Regardless of what Davidson does in the final week of the regular season, the Wildcats are going to finish in fourth place in the Southern Conference south division.
Unable to either catch third-place or give up enough ground to be caught by The Citadel, the Wildcats can start going over scenarios for the league tournament.
But more importantly, with seeding possibilities locked in, Davidson can also play the final two games of the regular season without added pressure.
That could be huge for coach Bob McKillop's team.
The Wildcats enter the final week of the regular season with a 7-3 record at home. That's important because both of Davidson's games prior to the Southern Conference tournament -- against Elon and UNC Greensboro -- will be played at the Belk Center.
It's an opportunity for Davidson, one of the hottest teams in the league down the stretch, to refine some of what it does well and possibly get itself into position to make a run in the postseason.
