THIS WEEK'S GAMES:

--vs. Elon, Feb. 24

KEY MATCHUPS
Earlier in the year, guard Brendan McKillop was having a horrible stretch of shooting games. No surprise, one of those came against Elon in January. The guard was just one-of-seven from the floor, and Davidson lost 77-70.

--vs. UNC Greensboro, Feb. 26

KEY MATCHUPS
Spartans guard Trevis Simpson was little more than a role player for most of the year. That is, until he played Davidson in January. He scored a career-high 33 points and helped UNCG to one of their first victories of the season.

PLAYER NOTES

--Sophomore J.P. Kuhlman is among the top 10 players in the league in minutes played per game. He's averaging around 33 minutes per contest.

--Davidson coach Bob McKillop has been high on freshman De'Mon Brooks all season, but he recently put Brooks on the spot, saying he would eventually become an elite talent in the Southern Conference.

--Sophomore Jake Cohen is already ninth all-time in school history in career blocks.
