KEY RETURNEES
Guard Anthony Roberson led the SEC in scoring and though he was entertaining thoughts of entering the NBA draft, he may want to reconsider following two miserable shooting performances in the NCAA tourney (4-of-23). Matt Walsh also returns to give the Gators a top perimeter game. Freshman forward Corey Brewer began to emerge as a star in season's stretch run, and freshman Al Horford is a fourth potential returning starter.

THE COACH
Billy Donovan has the Gators on an unprecedented run of seven consecutive NCAA appearances and the only Final Four berth in the school's history, not to mention the Gators' only SEC tournament championship. But the recent early exits -- five losses in either the first or second round of the NCAA -- has raised some questions about the Gators' toughness. He's in no danger of being fired, but as one of the country's highest-paid coaches, Donovan has got to get the Gators deeper into March. His overall record at Florida is 193-92 (88-56 SEC). Add the two years he spent at Marshall and Donovan is 228-112.

ROSTER REPORT
The Gators signed three prospects last November, all from the state of Florida. They were 6-10 forward/center Jimmy Sutton from Boca Raton, 6-5 guard David Huertas and 6-4 guard Derwin Kitchen, both of Jacksonville.

-- Senior David Lee continued his workhorse play in Florida's closing run. He scored in double figures in 11 of Florida's last 12 games, registering six double-doubles over the stretch. He finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds -- his 12th double-double of the season -- before fouling out with 3:08 left in the loss to Villanova.

Hey guys just would like to stop by and see what your thoughts were on landing Ricky P's son.  Alot of us over hear were sad to be seeing him leave as he flat out hustled to get us the best talent that he could.  Richard was a good recruiter and hopefully you'll be seeing that as time passes.  So what are your all's thoughts on landing him?

I was wondering if anybody knew any of the non conference schedule for this upcoming season.  I already know that they play Syracuse again this year in the Big East/SEC challenge and then have signed up for a home and home with Xavier with this year's game being in Gainesville.  More than likely have Florida St on there but other than those 3 I'm clueless.  Does anybody have any ...(more)

Well, I read an ESPN article today about Florida's outlook for next year. It was saying how Florida has gone from long shot onto Wall's final four without even a visit. They were also saying that a visit should be coming soon and the results will hint as to where he is going.

It was also saying how if Wall comes back, Nick is gone and visa versa, but chances that they both come are stil

In a multiple choice test we new option (A) was enter NBA Draft, option (B) was come back to Gainseville but did we realize that there was an option (C) signing a contract to play in Greece?

I didn't have a clue that this would happen.  Why would he leave early to play in friggin Greece?!?!   I don't see this being a smart move for him but good luck man ...(more)

It didnt take too long for Coach Calipari to turn a program into a legit top 1 to 3 team. Wow that team is gonna be sick and the Wildcat program has to be on cloud 9 right now! Obviously Im not a fan of them but I am a college basketball fan and I appreciate good basketball. I cant wait to see Patterson and Wall together, that being said (Gulp)Go Gators!

gator fans, i need your help. I'm a VT fan and i'm not sure what we're getting here. I know he was a 4-star player coming out of HS, but:

1. do his troubles at UF indicate he is a headcase? or were his problems blown out of proportion?

2. if he is a player, why did he not log minutes for you guys last year? where you that deep(no sarcasm intended. i just don't know what you g

We're screwed? With Calipari in the SEC now, it won't take but 5 seconds before Kentucky goes back to legendary status...

Even though you were a veteran on what I'm going to call a "scrub" team, your participation and efforts in the Back to Back Gator Chompion squad was greatly appriciated.  I wish you the best of luck on were ever you end up playing

Reports out of Ky are Billy G is a two and done experiment with the Cats. Rumors are circulating Ky may make another run at Billy D. This time it may prove to be successful. Ky's first run came immediately following Florida's 2 NCs, and the promise of a golden Gator future lie ahead. Jump ahead 2 years and the promised future at Florida is seemingly beginning to sour. Two straight years of fini ...(more)
