--Howard ranked 331st or worse among 336 full members of Division I in several offensive categories, including scoring (58.4 points per game, 331st), field-goal percentage (.376, 332nd), assists (9.3 per game, 332nd) and assist-turnover ratio (0.59, 332nd).

--Howard has lost 20 or more games in each of the past eight seasons. The Bison haven't logged a winning record since going 18-13 in the 2001-02 campaign.

2010-11 SEASON RECAP: Howard never really had a chance. Coach Kevin Nickelberry knew he had a major rebuilding job on his hands, and it became an outright chore when center Theodore Boyomo suffered a season-ending knee injury even before the Bison's first game. Then, Howard lost Calvin Thompson -- the team's top scorer last season -- to an ACL tear in the second game of the season against Purdue. Losing streaks of eight and nine games followed, all but assuring Howard would finish in the MEAC's second division. The high point for the Bison was a two-game sweep of a homestand against conference foes Maryland-Eastern Shore and Delaware State.
