Although I was mesmerized by the IU/PU volleyball showdown on BTN, it still makes no sense to keep the IU v. Grace game off TV. Regardless, sportsline gametracker worked like a champ for Deuce the displaced Hoosier. Anyway, some thoughts on the game.

I skimmed through some college basketball annual publications for the upcoming season as well as read ESPN's take on the upcoming season and it seems like the popular prediction is for the Hoosiers to finish 10th in the Big Ten. What is everyone's take so far?

Finally. Seems odd that they wait until today considering IU had an exhibition game last night. They couldn't possibly have done this yesterday so he could get some game time?

Had a great time with the family, and if you ever get a chance to go; I recommend it- coach Crean really knows how to entertain, and the fellas looked solid.

The story that was apparently released pretty quietly is that the NCAA will now allow unlimited phone calls to recruits during a particular sports open contact period. WTF. Are you F'ing kidding me? Former IU President and NCAA exec passed away, losing his fight to cancer. I wish his family peace. I in now way want to diminish his legacy. I do think there are many IU fans who felt his treatment of Bob Knight and Indiana University were unduly harse. For that reason, I can only say that Indiana starts fresh with new leadership. Don't hold your breath...Bawa Muniru and Maurice Creek are found to be missing from the famous 2009 'Bring IU Basketball back' Class. Is it me that seems just as IU basketball has a chance to get back on track the wind in our sail dies down. I hope this one isn't the case.
