FINAL RECORD
16-16, 6-10 in Big 12, 10th place.

WHAT WENT RIGHT
For a team that likes to dictate a fast pace, Missouri handled the ball well. It averaged only 13 turnovers, the lowest mark in the program's history, and led the Big 12 with a turnover margin of plus-3.97. The Tigers fashioned those averages despite the midseason dismissal of G Stefhon Hannah. Inside, the production of F Leo Lyons late in the season was a pleasant surprise.

WHAT WENT WRONG
In two seasons under coach Mike Anderson, the Tigers have yet to truly threaten opponents with their defense. They like to press, but when opponents slip out of traps, they often produce easy baskets. The Tigers ranked 11th in the conference in scoring defense. F DeMarre Carroll, a transfer from Vanderbilt, was named newcomer of the year, yet was too inconsistent in conference play.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"It is going to take some recruiting classes, no question about it. I inherited a team. One thing about me, I never complain about what I don't have. I just work with what I got." -- Missouri coach Mike Anderson.

feel for where we actually stand.  I'm impressed with our early 3 point shooting.  It's been lights out.  But we haven't seen the kind of pressure that will knock that percentange down.  It's hard to think there will be much of a drop off this year.  This team is the most athlectic basketball team Mizzou has ever had in my opinion.  Keep deflecting those passes and we ...(more)

Since there was no thread created on this game and it's tonight I thought I'd create one just for fun.  No disrespect!

I've talked with some on a few other boards about this game and it sounds like it should be a good one.  I think both teams press and run about 10 to 11 players.  Missouri has certainly done a much better job causing havoc and turnovers on their op

So I only saw the second half.  It seemed like we were having a really hard time getting the ball inside, either to our bigs or on the drive.  A few times I saw JT get to the basket and it seemed like we had figured it out.  But nothing much ever came from it.
Our defense looked fine.  We just have to get more touches near the basket for when our shots aren't falling.

Not going to be pretty to watch if the Tigers cannot score more than 52 points a game against a mid-major opponent.  Somebody has got to take control and hit shots when the team is cold.   I am very disappointed in Tiller and Taylor.  Where is the senior leadership?

I'm just happy we finally play a game.  Now that the recruiting class is finalized, it will be nice to see how the team we have this year evolves.

Mizzou fans this is huge. He is rated a 5 Star SF on Rivals.com and he is the 15th overall recruit in the country from Dallas, Texas. Celebrate Tiger fans this is a huge grab! He is described as a freak athlete with good ball skills.

Phil Pressey has already committed to the 2010 class, and according to Rivals, It may get even better.

The Tigers have one scholarship remaining and may not be done in the early signing period, which runs through next Wednesday. Swingman Tony Mitchell is slated to be on campus for a visit this weekend. Mitchell is rated as America's No. 15 prospect in the class by Rivals.com and has Mi

Number 54 player in the nation, point guard who hails from Texas. Offers from Florida, LSU, UConn, Texas, Arizona, and others. Identified as Anderson's #1 target and he landed him. Big, big, recruit landed people.

Ok fellow Tigers, I REALLY need some help from you guys...

I am a financial planner in Dallas and am attempting to be named "Best Planner" in my area. My primary competition is an Oklahoma grad and has been stuffing the ballot box. So, now it's my turn.

I found out that I am in secon

I feel next year we can be just as good as we were this year.  We already have a top 100 recruit in Michael Dixon(point gaurd), and a skilled big man in Keith Dewitt.  We are also pursuing a 6'10" center from New York that goes by the name of Jarrid Famous.  He is suspected to make his decision in the next 10 days, and is leaning heavily toward Mizzou.  W ...(more)
