--Ohio's meeting with Marshall rekindles one of the program's oldest rivalries. The Bobcats have faced Marshall more than any other team outside of the Mid-American Conference, and the game will be the 97th meeting. Ohio leads the all-time series 50-46 but Marshall has won the last four match-ups.

--Ohio's appearance in the CIT means the Bobcats will have played in each of the four postseason tournaments currently available. The Bobcats were in the NCAA Tournament in 2010, and played in the CBI in 2008. Ohio is also 4-4 in in the postseason NIT in three appearances. Ohio is 10-18 in postseason tournaments, and owns the MAC record for most postseason victories.

KEYS TO VICTORY
Ohio will get a chance to show how far it's come this season. In the regular season matchup on Dec. 4, Marshall won 65-57 after the Thundering Herd closed the game with a 10-2 spurt in the final four minutes. The Bobcats' youth and inexperience was on full display that day; Ohio settled for long-range and contested 3-pointers down the stretch while Marshall took nothing but free throws. The Bobcats feel they've come a long way in late-game situations since then, and will get a chance to prove it.
