GAME PREVIEW

vs. Seattle, Monday, Dec. 29

vs. UCLA, Friday, Jan. 2

vs. USC, Sunday, Jan 4.

at Arizona State, Thursday, Jan. 8

at Arizona, Saturday, Jan. 10

IN FOCUS
The Beavers already own their longest win streak in four seasons, but adding to it will be tough. They visit UCLA in their Pac-10 opener, and they've beaten the Bruins at Pauley Pavilion just once (2002-03 season) in the past 20 years. This would be a monumental upset, requiring the Beavers to execute their offense, shoot well, minimize turnovers and keep UCLA from cranking up its transition game.

ROSTER REPORT

--Calvin Haynes, who didn't play in the first game against Howard, scored all 17 of his points in the first half of the rematch.

--F Omari Johnson scored 18 points in the win over Howard.

--Lathen Wallace scored 16 points, all in the second half, in the win over Howard.

Schaftenaar, Hampton and the Tarver brothers will provide nice senior leadership.  Omari, Wallace and Deane will be a year deeper in a system that worked very well for them last year.  Haynes is simply awesome.  How this guy went unoticed during recruiting season is beyond me.  Burton, Cunningham and Nelson are the most exciting incoming freshman that I can remember i ...(more)

I dont' care what tournamnet it is, winning the CBI is a huge accomplishment for the Beavers and a huge stepping stone for next season. Coach Robinson has done a great job and hopefully we can hang on to him for awhile. If the recruits who have committed to us come we should compete for a spot in the NCAA tournament next year. Baseball team is looking good also. Go Beavs!!
