14-15, 10-8, fourth in the Summit League.

The Jackrabbits were one of the more prolific 3-point shooting teams in the Summit League, connecting on 7.2 3-pointers per game. The team's 37.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc ranked third in the league.

South Dakota State was able to put points on the board -- averaging 74.5 points per game -- including from the free-throw line, where the team's percentage of .745 was tops in the conference.

As might be expected from a team with a veteran guard at the controls, SDSU didn't have trouble with turnovers, committing just 12.3 per game -- fewest in the Summit League.

While the Jackrabbits were able to put points on the board, they also allowed a bunch, with opponents averaging 73.3 points a game against SDSU. Part of the problem was teams shooting 46.2 percent from the field against the Jacks, including 36.5 percent from 3-point range.

Game-changing plays weren't a big part of the SDSU defense, with the team ranking ninth in the conference in both steals (5.5 per game) and blocked shots (2.1 per game). Without those turnovers that lead to transition, SDSU was often left to try to score in the half-court offense, which didn't always yield what the team needed.

"It's hard to change a culture within a team, particularly with the same kids. Most of the time, you need new kids to come in, and sometimes a different coach. But these guys have done it, they've helped us do it. We're still not there, but we're way better than we were." -- SDSU coach Scott Nagy, to the Argus Leader, about seniors Garrett Callahan and Kai Williams' influence on the program.
