I cannot believe Tenn did not come ready to play. Vandy is whipping them in EVERY aspect of this ballgame. Scotty H has looked timid the whole game- this is a guy we need to step up, and not a one game wonder against FLA. Too many 3's to start the game once again, which has led to a poor start. I wonder if Chism is going to get a shot in the NBA. I know he was on the radar last year but you don't see him mentioned at all at least at the few websites I went to. He is kind of a tweener I guess. Decent size, good shot blocker, works well around the basket and can shoot from downtown on occassion. Back to memorial, I can't wait! This same week 2 years ago Vandy took our number one ranking after our win over memphis and showed us that you can't rest on your laurels. Good win for Vandy. They shot the ball extremely well and played great defensively. They did a fantastic job on Chism by doubling him everytime and being physical(a little too physical for my taste). Every time we play Tenn. away Bruce always has some weird theatrical stunt. Crazy speech to the fans, Pat Summit appearance, etc. My guess is he is going with Orange body paint this year. Whatever it is I can't wait it is always good theater.

I want to start this now while I am still completely disgusted. What we saw today was a complete lack of effort. Am I saying we should have won? NO. But the effort we gave was pathetic. Now I didn't watch the Georgia game other just to check the score but I was told Tatum was put in the rotation (obviously not really helping) but I heard that Steven Pearl remained in the rotation. Now Im not trying to diss Pearl but lets be serious with him on the court he presents no offensive threat and he is very slow and doesn't play that well on defense. It was one of those nights. We were flat and it was obvious Georgia was the aggressor from the tip. Our poor shooting finally caught up to us as we played poorly on the defensive end as well. I honestly think Steven Pearl played the best on our team tonight, which tells you all you need to know. I think we were overdue for a loss and it's probably good for these guys.

Great job by the Vols. They dodged a big let down. I felt they were fortunate to be at home again. Going on the road would have been tough. Another great performance by Bobby Maze. He's looking like the point guard that said he wanted to lead the SEC in assists. The lose of Smith has certainly been a gain for Maze, really raised his level of play in the last two
